Betty Rock

Betty Bitsinne Rock was born into one family of basket weavers and married into another. She learned to weave from her mother, Gladys Katso Bistsinnie. Her brother, Kee Bitsinnie, and sister-in-law, Peggy Rock Black, are also well-known basket makers. She often weaves ts’aa’ (ceremonial baskets) but has woven new designs as well.
